Infrastructure Technician

Infrastructure Technicians provide hands-on support for hardware, network equipment, and on-site IT infrastructure across physical and virtual environments.

 

Responsibilities

  • Install and maintain physical IT infrastructure (servers, cables, racks).
  • Troubleshoot hardware and basic network issues.
  • Assist with setup and deployment of IT systems.
  • Support data center or branch office equipment.
  • Ensure equipment is documented and properly labeled.

 

Key Skills

  • Familiarity with server hardware and cabling.
  • Understanding of network basics and IP addressing.
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools and hand tools.
  • Attention to detail and physical stamina.
  • Clear communication and teamwork skills.

 

Recommended Certifications

  • CompTIA A+ or Server+.
  • Cisco Certified Technician (CCT).
  • ITIL Foundation (optional).
  • Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
