Modern Slavery  Statement

Date Approved: 01 May 2025

1. Introduction

Learnutec Technology Academyis committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in all areas of our business and supply chains. We uphold ethical practices in education and aim to promote transparency, fairness, and respect for human rights.

2. Our Organisation

Learnutec Technology Academy is a UK-based IT certification training provider, offering online and hybrid learning to students and professionals across the UK. Our services are delivered via digital platforms such as Microsoft Teams and supported by internal staff, contracted instructors, and third-party service providers.

3. Our Supply Chains

Our supply chain includes:

- Online platform providers (e.g., Microsoft, CompTIA)

- External exam/certification bodies

- Office supply vendors

- Contracted trainers and freelance consultants

While the risk of modern slavery in our sector is considered low, we remain vigilant and expect the same high standards from our suppliers and partners.

4. Policies in Relation to Modern Slavery

We have implemented the following policies to prevent modern slavery:

- Staff Code of Conduct

- Supplier Code of Ethics

- Recruitment and Vetting Policy

- Safeguarding Policy (applicable to learners under 18)

All policies are reviewed annually and communicated clearly to staff and contractors.

5. Due Diligence

We conduct background checks on new suppliers and contractors. Contracts with vendors require compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and provide grounds for termination if violations are identified.

6. Training

All staff are briefed on recognising signs of exploitation and how to report concerns. Line managers and procurement staff receive enhanced training on modern slavery risks in third-party arrangements.

7. Assessment of Risk

We assess modern slavery risk annually by reviewing:

- Nature of suppliers’ industries

- Country of operation

- Type of labour used (direct or outsourced)

Our training and education focus, digital delivery model, and UK-based team keep our risk relatively low, but we remain proactive in oversight.

8. Monitoring and Reporting

Concerns or suspected violations can be reported confidentially to our Designated Safeguarding Lead at dsl@learnutec.com. We take all reports seriously and act promptly in line with our internal protocols.

9. Board Approval

This statement was approved by the Director of Learnutec Technology Academy on 01 May 2025 and will be reviewed and updated annually.
