Network Administrator

Network Administrators maintain an organization's computer networks, ensuring connectivity, reliability, and security across all systems.

 

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain network systems.
  • Configure routers, switches, and wireless access points.
  • Implement network security measures.
  • Troubleshoot connectivity issues and outages.
  • Keep network documentation up to date.

 

Key Skills

  • Understanding of networking hardware and topologies.
  • Knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, and DNS/DHCP services.
  • Familiarity with Cisco, Ubiquiti, or similar technologies.
  • Network monitoring and performance analysis skills.
  • Ability to respond to and resolve network incidents.

 

Recommended Certifications

  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
  • CompTIA Network+ or Security+.
  • Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Networking Fundamentals.
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate
