Platform Engineer

Platform Engineers build and maintain the infrastructure, automation, and tools that support software development and operations teams.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage internal platforms used by development teams.
  • Automate deployment pipelines and infrastructure provisioning.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting tools.
  • Improve platform performance, scalability, and resilience.
  • Work closely with DevOps and SRE teams to align platform goals.

 

Key Skills

  • Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible).
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Scripting and programming skills.
  • Understanding of cloud-native and microservices architectures.
  • Focus on reliability and developer productivity.

 

Recommended Certifications

  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
  • AWS or Azure DevOps certifications.
  • HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate.
